Conditional MOT Admission
Students who have not completed all six of the Health Science prerequisite courses for entrance to the MOT Program, but are eligible for UF Graduate School admission, may apply for provisional admission to the MOT Program. Full admission to the program will be granted upon satisfactory completion of all prerequisites.
To apply for conditional admission:
- Applicants must meet all requirements for admission except completion of the six Health Science pre-requisites.
- Students should apply to UF Graduate School and to the Department of Occupational Therapy
- The application deadline for conditional admission is February 15th.

Requirements for Admission
Applicants must meet the criteria for admission to the Graduate School. They also must demonstrate a commitment to graduate study, complete all the pre-requisites and meet other program specific admission criteria. Minimum requirements include:
- Baccalaureate degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum score of 1000 on the GRE (verbal and math) is recommended, applicants with scores below a 1000 will be considered if GPA sufficiently demonstrates a potential for success in graduate school.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale) for upper division (junior and senior level) undergraduate college coursework.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale) for all prerequisite courses. No grade lower than a C.
- Letter of Intent.
- Resume.
- Three recommendations. One from a professional level Occupational Therapist.
- A minimum of 30 hours of observation in at least 2 diverse OT settings.
- Completion of all University and Professional Program requirements by the end of the summer semester of the year you wish to enter the MOT program.
- Additional requirements for International students: Minimum of 550
on the
paper-based or 213 on the computer-based version of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Applicants must have transcripts evaluated and translated by an education evaluation service (link).
