Research Opportunties

Project 1

Action video games to improve everyday cognitive function in older adults.

Task: To train older adults to play either a video game or a computer-based game. We would like a student to commit to at least 10 hours a week.

Project 2

QuietCare system at the Smart House (effective October 1, 2008)

Task: We will soon be initiating some trials on the new QuietCare system at the Smart House, and we will need student volunteers. 

Project 3

Smart House Tours

Task: Participate in our monthly Smart House tours where we invite those visiting to consent to being in our recruitment pool for future studies.

Other

Research Programs at the VA hospital with current faculty are available to students. Assisting with research sponsored by the VA requires 13+ hours of training, and students must commit to several hours a week over multiple semesters.
