This semester, second-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) students engaged in community-based projects across the Gainesville region under the direction of Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Prerna Poojary- Mazzotta. The projects have addressed a multitude of needs from community agencies, including Peaceful Paths, the B.O.L.D. Program, Bird Dog Boats, Inc., and the Center for Independent Living. Dr. Poojary-Mazzotta led students in the submission of project presentations at the Florida Occupational Therapy Association Conference in November where poster presentations from all projects were accepted.
