Congratulations to first year OTD students, Angela Cao, who was awarded the Alice C. Jantzen Fellowship, and Anushka Pandya, who was awarded the Clare Shoemyen Graduate Fund award. The Jantzen award was established in recognition of Dr. Alice C. Jantzen who founded the Department of Occupational Therapy, and throughout her 18 years here, chaired a program reputed for excellence. The Shoemyen award was established to honor Ms. Clare Shoemyen, an occupational therapy pioneer who helped shape the profession of occupational therapy in Gainesville. The awards recognize Angela’s and Anushka’s potential for leadership and service in occupational therapy.
