The annual state conference, Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA), was held on November 4 & 5 in Clearwater at the Patel College of Health Care Sciences Nova Southeastern University campus. UF was a sponsor of FOTA and many past, current and future students interacted with faculty and OTD students at the booth.
Three UF OTD faculty members (Drs. Kramer, Darcy, and Piazza) presented at FOTA. Dr. Horwitz served as Vendor Co-Chairman and helped in other administrative efforts. Along with presenting, Dr. Piazza served as the Volunteer Coordinator.
About 12 OTD students shared their posters with conference participants and about 20 other students attended at least one day to network with practitioners while learning more about the OT profession.
