Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to join a dynamic and expanding department. The successful applicant will serve as faculty in the Department of Occupational Therapy, with primary responsibilities in research and teaching and secondary responsibilities in service activities as assigned. Research-related duties include all aspects of scholarship such as proposal development and submission; implementing and executing existing and new grants; scientific dissemination including conference presentations, manuscript publications, knowledge translation activities, and scientific report writing; and mentoring graduate students.

Faculty Spotlight: Carolyn Hanson, PhD, OTR/L

Dr. Carolyn Hanson returned to the OT Department in 2018 and teaches primarily in the BHS program. She is a licensed occupational therapist with experience in acute care and home health.

To drive or not to drive? That is the question confronting many people as they age, especially those who live in southern states like Florida, where a car-centric culture makes it more difficult to get around when one can’t, won’t, or is unable to continue driving.
