New service at UF Health helps at-risk motorists assess, improve their driving skills

In the state of Florida, nearly 20 percent of the population is age 65 or older. For many, progression in age can mean regression in driving ability. But a new service offered by the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions’ department of occupational therapy aims to give seniors and others a chance to improve their skills behind the wheel.

Sandra Edwards Colloquium 2019

The Department of Occupational Therapy hosted the third annual Sandra Edwards Colloquium on January 26, 2019. The keynote speaker was Anita C. Bundy, ScD, OT/L, FAOTA, FOTARA.

Life Care Planning

In this course, the author provides an overview of life care planning as a case management tool for occupational therapy practitioners as well as other rehabilitation professionals. Definitions and roles for life care planning are included. The training also includes an overview of the methodology associated with life care planning practice.

OT Welcomes Zheng Wang and Sandra Winter

Dr. Zheng Wang joined the department as an assistant professor this May. Dr. Sandra Winter joined the department as a research assistant scientist. The department warmly welcomes Dr. Wang and Dr. Winter.
