About Tana B Carson
Dr. Carson is a three-time UF grad with her Bachelor’s in Neurobiological Science, Master’s in Occupational Therapy and a PhD in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience from the Department of Psychology. She served as an occupational therapist at UF Health’s Pediatric Outpatient Rehab Clinic at Magnolia Parke for six years and now serves as a full-time faculty member at Florida International University and adjunct faculty at UF. As a graduate student, she co-founded IMPACT Autism at UF and continues to serve the local community through the Annual Kids 4 Kids Triathlon charity event at UF to raise funds for adaptive sports programs in Florida. Her research focuses on improving treatment for auditory hyper-reactivity sensory features of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
