Professor Beth Gibson received a Lifetime Honorary Membership Award from the Association of Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED). The award recognizes longtime members who have served for 10 or more years in leadership positions. She was a previous recipient of the Volunteer Award, a competitive award which recognizes those who have contributed an exemplary and sustained level of dedication, service, leadership, and impact on the organization.

The gift will support tuition for a student enrolled in the UF Certificate in Driver Rehabilitation Therapy program housed in the department of occupational therapy.

The Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED) Board has appointed Dr. Sherrilene Classen as Chair of the ADED Research Committee, effective April 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024.

This award is presented annually to members who have made outstanding scholarly achievements in the area of driver evaluation, education, research, and/or engineering.

The Institute for Mobility, Activity, and Participation delivered an eight-hour pre-conference workshop at ADED. Additionally, Dr. Classen received ADED's Scholarship Award for her outstanding scientific and leadership contributions to the field.
