New service at UF Health helps at-risk motorists assess, improve their driving skills

In the state of Florida, nearly 20 percent of the population is age 65 or older. For many, progression in age can mean regression in driving ability. But a new service offered by the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions’ department of occupational therapy aims to give seniors and others a chance to improve their skills behind the wheel.

Sherrilene Classen elected to UF Faculty Senate

Dr. Sherrilene Classen has been elected by her colleagues to the UF Faculty Senate. She will join four other faculty members elected to the senate from the College of Public Health and Health Professions for the term beginning Fall 2018.

Sherrilene Classen named PHHP Alumna of the Year

The College of Public Health and Health Professions named Sherrilene Classen, Ph.D., M.P.H., OTR/L, FAOTA, FGSA, the Outstanding Alumna of the Year. She was recognized at the college’s convocation ceremony May 5.
