Ashley Donnelly, MS, OTR/L, CBIS
Ashley Donnelly is an occupational therapist at UF Health Jacksonville. Ashley has 11 years clinical experience, working primarily in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. As a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, her clinical expertise centers on the treatment of patients who have sustained traumatic or acquired brain injury. She additionally creates staff competencies and mentors rehabilitation staff in areas of neurological and neuro-vision assessment and treatment. Ashley has a goal of becoming board certified in physical rehabilitation through AOTA.
Holly Knight, OTR/L, CLC, CNT
Holly Knight is an occupational therapist at UF Health Jacksonville. Holly has 27 years of clinical experience working in a variety of settings. She gained her neuro-vision experience working at Tallahassee Memorial under a neuro-ophthalmologist for 8 years and treating visual deficits in an outpatient setting. Holly has specialized in recent years in the NICU, but enjoys mentoring her colleagues in acute care when the need arises.
This course focuses on the assessment and treatment of inattention and other perceptual disorders following a neurological event.
Target Audience
This course is well-suited for occupational therapists and other rehabilitation professionals who work with neurological populations including but not limited to stroke and brain injury.
Educational Level
Introductory: Information is geared to practitioners with little or no knowledge of the subject matter. Focus is on providing general introductory information.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Describe occupational therapy’s role in neuro-vision rehabilitation.
- Identify inattention or neglect syndromes.
- List assessment tools utilized for inattention and other perceptual disorders.
- Describe interventions related to inattention and perceptual disorders.
Completion Requirements
1 Contact Hour for State of Florida Occupational Therapy practitioners will be awarded upon a successful completion of a multiple choice post-test. Participants will be able to print a certificate of completion after completing a short course evaluation in addition to the post-test.

Instructional Methods
One (1) hour course during which the learner will view a streaming video presentation, reference PowerPoint® slides, and take a multiple choice post-test.
