Linda Struckmeyer, Ph.D., OTR/L, a clinical associate professor and the doctoral capstone coordinator in the department of occupational therapy, was recently selected to join the OT Leaders & Legacies Society.

Dr. Struckmeyer is a clinical assistant professor and doctoral capstone coordinator in the department of occupational therapy at the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions.
In this course, the author provides an overview of the doctoral capstone experience and project. Roles of all collaborators are explained. The training focus is on the role of the capstone site mentor and also includes the related paperwork requirements.
In this course, the author provides the results of the initial psychometrics of the HEAP-R and a training on how to administer and score the tool.
Under the mentorship of Drs. Classen and Struckmeyer, PhD student Carlyn Ellison from the Department of Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Science program has been selected for the CTSI TL1 Training grant.
Working with students to develop their professional identities as occupational therapists is something that Dr. Linda Struckmeyer, Clinical Assistant Professor, knows a lot about. Having previously worked as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Masters in Occupational Therapy program, her interest in supporting student learning and professional growth was a natural fit for her position as Capstone Coordinator for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program.
